MY NEW REGULAR BRUNCH SPOT. This diner will not disappoint. The fries were extra crispy, the hashbrown bowl was delicious. The new owner, David, is very kind his staff are just as nice. The atmosphere was bright warm. I definitely recommend this place for brunch!!!!! BEST FRIES EVERRRVegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options!!!Kid-friendliness: Super nice staff!!!
We’re visiting the area for spring break and came upon this wonderful family owned restaurant! Every single staff member was super friendly and made us feel very welcomed! It’s such a nice, clean, and welcoming environment The food it’s self was amazing and so fresh! Definitely will come back on our next trip to this side of Texas ?My family and I give the Lone Star Cafe an A
Atmosphere wasn't bad. Wait staff was underwhelming to say the least. I had a pile of trash on the table and instead of just removing it my server decides the best action is to put my plate on top of it... Disgusted.. ? And the grits were made with vegetable spread and not even a quality one. Eggs had no flavor or seasoning!!! Very disappointed. Go to the original pancake house instead .
I hate that I'm giving this place 2 stars. I hoped that it would have been better. I just moved my office down the street, and I do enjoy a good diner every morning before work. That said... My server only had me in her section. I had coffee, which she never checked on for a refill until after I finished my meal. I had to flag down the other server for coffee. She was sweet just preoccupied.I ordered migas with chorizo. That came with hashbrowns and beans. The hashbrowns weren't really cooked. The beans just why? There were so few that I could have counted them while there if I wanted and not rushed to do it. Plus, Van Camp's pop top beanee weenees, anyone?! Then the migas were pretty much tasteless other than the jalapeños and dry, too.The coffee was good, but they charged Starbucks prices for a cup of black coffee. The prices were high all around.Just no.
