Born and raised in southern California (USA), I had never wandered too far away from home.
Buckle up ladies and gents; this is going to be a hell of a review. It only took me 3 days to fall in love with Toronto.

"The food tasted fresh and tasty, but the portion size was VERY small. I ordered the risotto and my sister ordered a sausage ragu. We are both small ladies and don’t eat much and both of us were still very hungry. My Risotto came with only 3 shrimp and the portion size was tiny. I paid 35 dollars for it. My wine was also very expensive at 20 dollars for a 6 oz. The service started off wonderfully but when my sister’s dessert still hadn’t come out after over 20 minutes, and we were both finished our lattes, we told the waitress to never mind. She said she could wrap it up and we could take it to go. I felt this was not very good customer service, especially since we never order dessert but were both still so hungry after our meal."

"We came here on the way home from Niagara for my birthday lunch. I 've always heard great things about this resto, so I was excited to finally come here. Also, I 've passed this place at least 50 times from all the times I 've gone to Niagara and New York, so it was nice to check it out for myself. The setting is beautiful and I can 't wait to come back in the Summer because of the patio setting, that 's right on the lake. For a random Tuesday in February, the place was half busy, which was surprising but pleasant to see. We got seated right away and everyone we encountered throughout our lunch was so friendly. I already had my heart set on the fettuccini bolognese but my bf couldn 't decide between the lamb burger or the Great Canadian Burger. He asked our server and she recommended the Great Canadian Burger 1000%. It is award winning after all! So he went with that. Okay, the burger actually did taste award winning lol. I don 't usually eat burgers but I had to try some this time, since it 's award winning lol. My bf was like wow . We were defs impressed. Don 't know what it was about it but it just tasted like quality. My fettuccini bolognese was also really delicious. The sauce clung and coated the noodles perfectly. Pasta was cooked to perfection. The sauce was not too acidic or salty and the meat was plentiful. I had enough leftovers for a whole dinner. Would 100% order this again. We couldn 't leave without having a lil something sweet. It was my bday after all! We each just decided to get one of the mini desserts. They were $5 each. For the portion it 's defs not worth $5 lol but they tasted good, so that 's okay. We got the vegan strawberry cheesecake and baklava pudding. Both my bf and I preferred the vegan cheesecake....surprisingly lol. Everyone that has passed by here and has wondered about this place, GO! You won 't be disappointed."
