Black Buffalo Tavern & Restaurant

We often eat out work here. every single visit was fantastic, the staff is polite and attentive and the food is always delicious, well oiled machine this tavern is indeed! You can say is very well managed, well-made staff...!

Visited Black Buffalo for lunch today. Upon arrival there was hand sanitiser at the door to use before entry, which was great to see. Dining area was a good size and comfortable with a full bar for drinks. We were greeted with a friendly smile...and shown where we were sitting. The menu had a great selection from amazing scallops to garden salad and the good old fashion parmi and prices were good. Two options for orders, either with the waitress or use the app to order and pay (which was a brilliant idea to limit unnecessary close contact). The meals arrived all at the same time, the food was hot and fresh and portions were perfect. The staff were very friendly and always smiling.

This was a surprise being a tavern in northern Hobart and a bit out of the way. The meal was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The prices were very reasonable.

We 4 sisters meet every 4 weeks for a meal and we were all disappointed with our meals. I chose the platter for 2 as my main meal and it was all deep fried except for the yummy pork kebabs. The breadcrumbs on the chicken...ribs was too thick and tasted like too much flour, the squid was mushy. My 2 sisters meals were 2 specials of steak with seafood sauce, tough steak but nice sauce. 4th sister had Chicken Maryland which she liked hers!

We went to this hotel with friends and had a great meal, large selection on the menu, I could not fault the staff.
