Rattan Pan-asian Bistro Wine - Houston

The food was Asian authentic. We love the 21 special sushi and the surf and turf roll.

I thought the service left a lot to be desired. We constantly had to ask for things like water, a knife,. It was a split check, and he really did not understand what we were trying to do. Maybe naïve on my part for the bill, but certainly the water glass should be refilled more than one during the evening. Took a long time to get the knife in order to cut some of the food. I thought the prices were high in the amount of food was lacking. The quality of the food was very good however

I was so pleased to read about the reopening of Rattan, but was, sadly, disappointed with the experience. The lighting is more chain-restaurant bright, the servers were dressed quite sloppily, and were very slow with service even though there were plenty of them on the floor. There was one menu on the table to share between us- we commented on it and the waiter just shrugged and walked away. The price changes really floored us. They didn't just increase, they went crazy-high. We ended up not staying because even the appetizers were overpriced, yet most were unappealing.

Rattan is one of my favorite places to go! The food is amazing, the service is great, and the drinks are to die for. 100% recommend for a date night or just to enjoy good food and drinks!

Food is absolutely delicious! We enjoyed our time while eating there and the service was great!
