The owner was very nice and helped me choose menu items. I ended with the 3 meats combo. The brisket had an odd flavor to it and was my least favorite of the meats. The pulled pork, however, is very delicious. I had the potato salad as my side and that too was very good. The ribs were right in the middle good but not great. Overall I think next time I'll just buy meat since I really want that pulled pork again.
I went there and couldn't bring myself to get out of the car after seeing the condition of the outside of the restaurant. If the inside and kitchen area is anything like the cleanliness of the outside of the building, I am not willing to to risk my health eating there. The likelihood of being clean is slim. (Unfortunately, I find the entire city of Albuquerque to be this way. Even the jewel of the city, the ABQ Biopark, is a cesspool in comparison to other city's zoos and parks. Cleanliness is not ABQ's strong point. And it's a shame because ABQ has potential to be beautiful if filth, litter and garbage could be removed.
The man here know how to cook meat right! We tried the 5 meat sample with some extra brisket chicken. We had sweet bbq beans, Mac cheese, potato salad sides. While this grill-master’s choice in flavors wasn’t my favorite, every piece of meat was cooked just right, very tender juicy. If you are in the area and like BBQ, this is a great place to get some.
This was delicious. My fiance and I stopped in for a quick lunch before we had to head to work. Since it was our first time, we shared the 5 meat sampler. It was absolutely delectable! You should stop in because you won't regret it!
