So, we put or names down and waited to be seated. We didn't wait too long, less than 15 minutes I'd say. Not too bad. Tables were turned over quickly as it was all business there. Eat and go, no loitering around taking up space. Service was adequate. Not sure how else to describe it. Good, then as it wasn't bad but not so good that I'm here raving about it. We weren't left waiting or wanting anything. Got our order, food, drinks, refills and bill. Like I said, it was all business. As for the food, my burger was ok. I must not have taken pics as it's not linking to this review but it was a little on the dry side. But not so dry as to send to it back. Flavor was ok too. Not so bad that I needed or asked for condiments to spice up the flavor. Loved the fries though. Nice and crispy. And the special lemonade offering was great. It was a little warm that day we visited so it definitely was a hit for the both of us. Though it wasn't a bad experience, we both felt the same way after we left. Ok
Great menu, simple and accessible, great service, friendly vibes. Very popular so that might affect wait time, and parking on Main Street is sometimes challenging. Nice stopover for singles, couples, families, hikers, and directly across from the grocery store for additional stocking up
Julian cafe is a nice place to stop when visiting Julian! I have been 3 times now. Each time my group and I have had to wait, but it's expected considering the weekends get very busy. This past visit they said 1 hour and 20 minutes but we were sat in 40 minutes. While you are waiting there are cute shops to walk around and check out. Every time I have ordered the chicken and waffles! I only have 4/5 stars because the dish has been inconsistent on each occasion. This past visit my plate was awesome, but my boyfriends chicken was much thinner and a little dry/tough to eat. I would still continue to order this when I go back and visit, but I do know it can be inconsistent with quality. I love their cold apple cider and they also have speciality warm options as well. This visit we ordered the fried zucchini which was DELICIOUS! The breading was seasoned great and fried to perfection. Overall, I will continue to go back here when visiting Julian!
Big big portions and delicious breakfast. I always get their chicken fried steak and eggs and end up feeling like I need to be escorted out on a wheel barrel. So good but you'll need to get there early enough to beat the crowd.
This place is insane! The portion sizes are absolutely wild. A perfect breakfast after camping. Loved it! Service was so cozy the best!
