Shivraj Dhaba - Karād

Very famous hotel at Karad near highway on the Patan Road, for Akkha Masoor and other typical veg speciality food. Curd is also awesome. Roti they serve is very big and very soft. Saturday, Sunday you will find too much rush and normally it take...hours to get your turn on weekends

Food okay but service very arrogant. We informed hotel management day in advance about 20 ppl dinner cum birthday party. When we went there, we were totally disappointed. 1. We were asked to cut cake in lawn with no assistance from anybody from hotel staff....They were rude to tell us that we will not help. We carried cake to our tables. 2. When we were ordering food, they denied items from menu with Paneer and that too when we informed them in advance. They were rude again to tell us that you should go to other hotels nearby. 3. While taking out car, guard at gate literally was shouting at hurry. He was elderly so I ignored him but almost everybody around was looking at me in pitty. I would never ever go back again even if food is decent. I dont hope anything to change even after such feedback. So i dont recommend anybody else to visit them.

This restaurant is called Dhaba and is situated on the Pune-Bangalore highway in Karad. If you are coming from Pune, before reaching Karad, you will come across a flyover. Take the service road just before the flyover, then turn right under the flyover and continue on Patan road for 2 minutes until you find the restaurant on your right. They only serve vegetarian food. Even though the menu is limited, their akkha masoor dish is excellent. There is usually a long line in the evenings, so it is best to visit during the afternoon. They serve yogurt in earthen pots, which adds a unique and pure experience to your meal. The service is fast and efficient. Enjoy the flavors of Maharashtrian cuisine at this restaurant.

I had heard a lot about this dhaba. I have the chance to eat there on the way to pune. close to the autobahn, lots of parking clean toilets large area, so accommodates many people to a time. visited on a...fixed day therefore there was a big hurry. but, still managed, table in 15min tried the famous akhkha masoor. it was a little spicy for me, but really delicious. the service was fast and the price is not high.

This hotel is located near the highway, offering plenty of space. The restaurant's restrooms are spacious and have a designated area for families. Although the food selection is limited, the quality is outstanding and the service is incredibly fast. The prices are affordable and the total bill for four people was less than what I typically pay at a restaurant in Pune.
