Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónSerbs as prisoners of World War II Karasjok, Norway During World War II a Nazi concentration camp was built in Karasjok: Lager IV Karasjok (German for Karasjok Camp No.4 , Norwegian: Karasjok fangeleir). The camp was run by SS, and it was among the first four Nazi concentration camps in Northern Norway.
Sami culture is interesting to observe, and Sapmi park let's you get real close and personal. I personally like the outdoor area huts and cabins, as well as looking at tools and clothing.
Quickly went over here today to check the place out. Seems like there is a good amount of shops and tourist information in the center. Probably a nice place on a warm summer day with sun
Visited here some years ago, (I'm guessing around 2012 ish) and I didn't do reviews etc. at the time, so having just spotted the place while browsing Google maps thought I'd share my experience. Called in here having driven almost past and they had just started to close for the night, but opened their doors again for us and allowed us to sort through the whole audio visual experience. I've got to say it is perhaps the most beautiful thing I've ever watched. I'm no sorter, but I almost cried watching it! Seriously, if you are within and hours drive of this place, make a detour and call in, it is more than with the journey. You will not be disappointed. Big thank you to the very welcoming staff too, you made it visit most enjoyable. Thank You.
The Sapmi park gives is very personally, which I really like.
