Il Convento - Kassel

Very good price-performance ratio, great ambiente, very attentive staff despite documenta and great urge.

We ate in the il convento to night and found the place beautiful and historical. the Italian food was really average, the pasta in order, but the meat that came was dry. . . we were a bit disappointed as the menu is quite expensive.

It was a lot to do, the manhood probably already a little through the wind, that order was accordingly difficult. but then the kitchen came in, and the kitchen was still really nice. the red bottle wine was good, the white open also. the calculation still bearable. note 3 too little, 4 (very good), so 3 .

This restaurant impresses on the first view through the old carpenters in which it is accommodated. at the second glance, however, it is noted that it is a former church in which hundreds of people came to live in a bomb attack at the end of the second world war. that this is so easy to hold in the description in the menu, the atmosphere has not made us just pleasant! also the fact that in stone the bibelzitate are standing on the walls right next to the advertising for the current daily dishes, we feel – although not churchgoers – as cross-border. However, it was annoying that due to the high number of visitors the waiters acted with a very unpleasant hectic, which led to the table that the wrong dishes were served. in the past 20 minutes, the bruschetta came completely softened on the table. in less operational times and while overlooking our discerning borderline atmospheric background, it may be more pleasant.

We had the noodles with creamy sauce and black truffles. I was disappointed. the personal super friendly the ambiente in the old no longer used church super. but eating for an Italian of this price class is not appropriate. the truffle dry, the spaghetti too soft, the sauce cut. if I pay €16 for a portion of noodles with truffles I also want to get a tasty noodle dish. that was not the case this time. therefore only two points.
