Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI stumbled upon this charming little restaurant as a recommendation while exploring a nearby historical site. It's important to note that they only offer a limited lunch menu, but the sandwich we tried was absolutely delicious. The selection of cakes and pies is outstanding, and we ended up sharing a sandwich just to save room for dessert! The atmosphere is rich in history, featuring an impressive collection of teapots alongside various antiques and memorabilia. The dining area is divided into two sections, so don't worry if you only see one when you enter. They do prefer cash payments, so be prepared for that. Overall, you won't be disappointed; the food is tasty, the service is excellent, and the desserts are truly exceptional!
This wonderful restaurant has retained its charm over the years, continuing to serve exquisite dishes like the Keo Klassic, which is a grilled-in-butter sandwich filled with turkey and melted cheeses, accompanied by lettuce, tomato, and onion. They also offer an impressive fruit and salad tray, and a variety of pies that have won the hearts of countless customers. In 2011, Southern Living praised Charlotte's coconut meringue pie as the best around, and it remains unchanged. Be sure to order your slice of pie first, as they tend to sell out quickly. However, if you miss out on the pie, there are still plenty of delicious layer cakes to choose from.
I wasn't particularly fond of the horseradish sauce on the Reuben. However, the sweet tea was quite good.
Any of the cakes and pies are AWESOME!
Closed in we arrived but will return.
