Baltic Deli - Kingston

We were visitors to the Kingston area and saw the Baltic Deli during the ride past the Strip-Mall in which it is (please note that this is not a sit-down café). In the Kingston area, I would imagine that this is a valuable place to get special Eastern European meat, cheese, bread, prepacked biscuits, etc. I found the store relatively small and somewhat limited compared to places I usually go for these types of items in the Golden Horseshoe region of Ontario. That is, the Deli is beautiful and great for people who can't come to a larger shop with a larger choice in Toronto or Hamilton.

I was several times and love the takeout sandwiches. So filled with meat, you can hardly lift it. I didn't try anything else here, but I'm sure it was good.

Went here for lunch...it is not eat in, but the sandwiches we had were wonderful (Polish Sausage, ham and cheese). Felt like I was back in Europe, great crusty bread Kaiser buns. Lots of Polish packaged items and a deli counter. Want to go back and try the perogies next time.

I love the Baltic Deli! I love their homemade bean stew, their homemade Hunter's stew (Polish stew or Bigos), homemade cabbage rolls, soups and schnitzel. Their very own baked cheese cake will transport you to the best cheese cakes of Europe. They bring in the best pyrogies and incredible cakes and breads from Toronto and Montreal. Delivery days are Thursdays. And for holidays there are all kinds of specialty cakes and candies...in fact, their regular display of candies and cookies will amaze you, as will the array of fancy sausages, cold cuts and salami. You can also find fancy mustards, pickled vegetables and teas for every malady, as well as an afternoon's pleasure. If you want to shop where you will be remembered and treated like an old friend, savour the international conversations of other shoppers and experience shopping in a more meaningful way don't miss the opportunity to visit the Baltic Deli. The food speaks for itself! This is a family owned shop with extremely good value and excellent quality!
