After we placed our order, the waiter suggested a more expensive wine than the one we had chosen. Our food arrived 10 minutes later. The pizza was small, bland, and seemed to be frozen. The lasagna was filled with so much cheese that it was overwhelming. The soup was too hot. The seafood pasta almost landed one of us in the emergency room with food poisoning. When we asked for our daughter's unfinished dish to be brought out, the waiter accidentally spilled a glass of wine but failed to offer an apology. The bill came to $142, which isn't overly expensive, but considering everything that went wrong, it felt like a rip-off.
In short, it was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I have dined at many restaurants on three continents, but this one stands out for all the wrong reasons. I wanted to take my wife out for pizza, and we had noticed this restaurant the night before and decided to give it a try. When we arrived at noon, we were the only customers. The waiter took our order and immediately lit up a cigarette. Ten minutes later, our pizza was ready. We had not ordered any drinks as we had already had a big breakfast with coffee and orange juice. The owner came over and was shocked that we didn't order any drinks, saying he wouldn't serve us the pizza without them. He proceeded to kick us out, even making my wife cry on her birthday. I don't care about the quality of the pizza; what matters most to me in a restaurant is that my wife is treated with respect. Goodbye, Giardino!
We were extremely disappointed by the service of this restaurant. staff incompetent and very unpleasant. a dog walks in the restaurant and the smell is indeed very unpleasant. at the table, we were entitled to dirty wine glasses! Finally, my companion received his pizza 1h30 later, while I had already been rid of my plate several minutes earlier. third remark to the server who totally refused to make a gesture on the bill and who has taken the pizza from my companion's hands by threatening me that if I didn't pay the pizza, that sir will not eat! it allowed to raise the voice in front of all the customers present, but we did not let ourselves be impressed! following my refusal, he took the pizza back and put the bill on our table without a word and without a look. We paid and left the restaurant without a single word of apology from them! It's unacceptable!!! our day has been completely ruined and we are not ready to come back so soon to koksijde !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The greeting was not professional, and the fact that there was a smell of dog in the restaurant was off-putting. The owners allowed their dog to roam around, and it was located near the counter, which is unacceptable in a restaurant. Additionally, the quality of the food was very disappointing. The pizza was comparable to something that could be bought at a supermarket and reheated in an oven. I have rarely had such a bad pizza at a restaurant. It is best to avoid this place.
