Good prices and delicious cakes. But really come in the years.
Ok.
Often I come to places I think: Hello, what am I doing here? There's not much here for me. But just as often as it happens, I've found all kinds of fun and surprising things. Also today, Wednesday, August 1st, 2018, still warm and a persistent drought that increasingly more places in Europe causes big problems especially the agrarian sector. Some farmers see the harvest of potatoes, corn, sugar beets all failed, other must be for lack of pits and grass distressed over and over and over. For some, it's hard times. Flyer e-Bike through the Duffelt, the Ooypolder, through Nimegen and Berg and Dal, ended up in Wyler, the first town just across the border in Germany. I know that little town well, I've been coming through every day for 20 years, even good friends live there. Yet I never really went to the church on the hill that I always see lies when I'm from. Zyflich come, especially tonight's nights are very beautiful because it's all eccentric. Today I'm coming into Wyler from the other side, and first I'm gonna come into the parking lot of Rütten Need that's closed. It's a typical ugly German construction like you see here a lot. I'm gonna go check the menu card at the door and see you can get a drink here and eat, but it's closed, and I actually don't feel like consuming. 'Cause I've seen it around and especially in front of this restaurant is much more fun to take a look. Actually, there are two churches on the hill with a small cemetery around. The white cuddle that I always look so beautiful is the old church that's restored after it was destroyed during the war. In the front hall of the church, I see pictures of before and after the destruction. It's a pretty nice intimate church that lets in a lot of light and isn't overwhelmed. I walk around it, see old defended gravestones and high trees where the wind rumbles through and they cause atmosphere and shadow. One of the gravestones poses a pretty bird, I think it's a red chest. The other church is the new-building, looking a little bunkery because of the copper-colored doors, but also very playful and artificial when you see the construction of the windowwork or rather the braid. Left of this church is outside a remarkable statue. From the restaurant parking lot, I have a very nice view of the polder and the weilands. I take pictures and feel like I'm being watched from behind the windows by both women and man Rütten Needs. I'm sure the local tribal guests here occasionally can have a beer and eat a bite, but I don't feel much need to, and I have to get on with it. On a trip, but nowhere to go. Or so. To places where I don't have anything to look for, but in addition to being worth it.
Never much to do. It's more pressing when there's a funeral at the next cemetery. A great view of the wetury chutzgebite the Dufelt.
