We stayed for 1 week during the Starpower Dance Competition Nationals July 1st to 8th and at first glance, this hotel is very nice. However, on our first night while unpacking I was greeted by a 4” long cockroach inside the closet, my husband tried to kill it but it was too fast and ran into a hole on the doorframe. This made us uneasy for the rest of the week. Maintenance came up with some spray and my husband stuffed the hole with a tissue but we ended up switching rooms a couple of days later even though I know they were all over the hotel, at least I didn’t see one in my new room. The beds are very comfortable but they’re doubles so if 4 adults are staying in 1 room it will be tight. We were 2 adults and 2 kids so it was fine for us. The housekeeping was great, we always had fresh towels available. The grounds are immaculate, so beautiful and lush, the staff works really hard to keep this place looking clean and beautiful. One major negative is that food and drinks are extremely expensive $20 USD for 2 regular coffees and a fruit cup from Fuel , we did Uber eats a few nights because we didn’t have much flexibility to venture out due to the dance competition. We made good use of the coffee in the room Starbucks Verona Blend was a plus! and also went to Walmart for some essentials like cereal, milk, yogurt, sliced bread and bananas for the kids. The Uber from the hotel to Walmart was about $10 each way. We purchased a foam cooler to keep the dry food sealed from our little rodent friends and made sure to never leave any food garbage in the room. We dined at a couple of the restaurants in the hotel which I will review separately. Another major flaw is billing. I was charge for a weeks worth of parking and did not park at all, I am still now going in circles with accounting trying to get my refund almost $400 Canadian dollars!! . The pool was fantastic, the kids and parents all enjoyed the water slide especially. All in all, the location is great, it’s a quick 5 minute walk to the Disney boardwalk and the free shuttle to Disney Springs which was easy and convenient.
What a great resort. So close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Just a little boat ride away. The other parks they have their own bus.Rooms were spacious the bathroom a little small to go along with the room. Lobby is gorgeous!! The fountain was a good place to eat. Wonderful resort we would stay there again.Walkability: You can walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
Ideally located between Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, it is one of four Disney hotels that allow walking to either theme park.Although the architecture and design scream 1970s Las Vegas, the renovated interior and lobby are beautifully executed. The hotel does not feature Disney themes like most other resorts do, but the rooms are clean and functional (bathrooms are claustrophobic). The strongest points are in what the hotel offers:Pool and SpaFuel is a great breakfast spot right in the lobby.Blue Zoo and Shula's are excellent dining destinations for those who are tired of turkey legs and hot dogs.Personally we prefer the nearby Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts (also within walking distance of the lagoon/river system that connects the aforementioned theme parks), but the Swan Dolphin offer a great option and (by Disney standards) great value.???
We had stayed at this resort back in July for my birthday and had a great experience. Overall, the best thing about this hotel is the location (10/10 and the valet service (all valet guys were great and so nice . That being said, the customer service was below subpar. Upon checking in (late at night after hours in the car, we were met by the rudest lady at check in. We had an employee rate form under my husband 's name, but the reservation was under mine. We 've done this for 8+ years, never had an issue. Not only way the lady rude (told me I like my job. I 'm not going to lose it over you, but the manager she pulled from the back told me if your husband really worked for Marriott for 8 years I 'm pretty sure he 'd know the rules .Meanwhile, we stayed at the same hotel, weeks prior, with the same form, and the same name on reservation, with no issue. The problem wasn 't the form issue (I could have easily called and had the form changed under my name , it was the attitude and rudeness from the staff. On top of that, my daughter left her toy we bought from MK in the room. We knew exactly where it was, but security couldn 't find it, despite the fact we had only checked out 5 minutes prior....
