Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónEarlier this week, I visited a cafe with my mum and grandparents who were visiting from the West Midlands for the week. They always enjoy staying in Morecambe. My grandma has mobility issues, so after parking in the market car park, we decided to eat at Oliver's. The cafe is bright and airy, with basic facilities for a simple meal. Unfortunately, the lady taking our order got it wrong; my grandma's toasted tea cake never arrived, and we received an extra portion of chips instead. We didn't mention it due to the long wait time and limited staff. The sandwiches we ordered, filled with fresh ham/turkey, were delicious, but served on small, impractical plates. The coffees and hot chocolate were good, despite finding a hair in my sandwich. Overall, it's a decent place, but the service could be more efficient.
The restaurant is clean and tidy, but to be honest, it is quite basic. However, it is a perfect spot to begin your bargain hunting, especially on weekends when the neighboring car park hosts a large car boot sale. The cafe is located in the market building, surrounded by a variety of traditional market stalls. It excels in what it offers.
Our first visit in February was fantastic. For five pounds, you received a wonderful breakfast including two sausages, three strips of bacon, baked beans, black pudding, two fried eggs, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, a hash brown, and plenty of delicious toast, along with a cup of tea. However, over the past few months, we have noticed a decline in both the quantity and quality of the food. Today, we were served only one egg, one sausage, one strip of bacon, two small mushrooms, baked beans, one hash brown, a small tomato, and a piece of cheap pre-sliced bread that was toasted. There was no black pudding or fried bread. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
After a lengthy drive to Morecambe we needed somewhere to eat and we came across this cafe, after walking around the indoor market. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and dealt with our order promptly. Quality of our breakfasts were amazing, plentiful and with a fantastic price. The fresh brewed coffee was spot on. The other traders along the corridor also made us feel most welcome, it was like we had known them for ages. Our dog was also allowed into the market as well. Next door is a fantastic vintage hair salon which has the most amazing decorations, after eating breakfast I popped in and had my hair done which was just an outstanding service. All in all this was a dream experience from start to finish. Many Thanks to all... Looking forward to another very visit soon.
