Gets better and better each time! And when you think it can’t get any better the chef surprises you with even more flavors and creations ! Also the team lead by Roman are so friendly and helpful and super efficient. Thank you for yet another...special experience and see you soon!
We had an incredible dinner at anne sophie pic. when we arrived, we were offered to sit on the terrace for an aperitif that was delightful. we were offered champagne and a few small bites to go with him. it was so pleasant to sit. outside, look at the beautiful view to begin our evening. we made the tasting menu and the wine pairing and everything was exceptional. we started with the tomato dish. everything was fresh, and the Burrata ice cream was a nice note. next were the vegetal berlingots, a mushroom dish that is a signature on all menus of anne sophie pic. I can see why there is a delicious bowl of umami with any component that contributed to the complexity of the plate. for the next cure we really enjoyed the sole. a perfect piece of fish. next was the promise. it was well cooked and well executed. it also came with a tart of floor venison on the side. the cheese course was interesting, one of the cheeses being served as mousse. it was a nice piece on a traditional cheese course. to dessert, we had the chocolate and the white pfirsich options. both were a nice one to finish the meal. the drink program was very kreatiw. for example, to go with the cheese course, they served beer. In view of wein and cheese, such a classic pairing is, they are clearly innovating and trying to go beyond what people expect. one of the outstanding weine was a giant. while riesling is typically too sweet for our taste, this version was balanced from Germany and delicious. the service was great. very attentive, but never overlaid. recommend it in this restaurant. you will be there for a tasty bite!
Overall it was clearly excellent, but some service related errors showed why there were not three Michelin stars. they did not include the nutritional preferences sent in advance; some carelessness about Amuse-Bouches; a dissatisfied explains twenty minutes delay in serving the...main course and too fast and quiet explanations about the teller composition. there was no doubt about the excellent quality of the execution and presentation of food.
The location on the terrace of the castle Beau-Rivage was a perfect picture, with a clear view over the lake; the service was welcoming and impeccable-it was like watching choreography...efficient, but so friendly; and eating...we enjoyed the special lunch menu cheese board, and each dish was delicious, complex and interesting. (lunch was a great time to visit without any difficulty, a reservation on the day before. they recognized my needs as someone with zöliakie, and easily adapted to be the menu gluten-free for me. we have paired the lamb with a shiraz from the canton wallis, a great suggestion of one of the server, christopher. and we celebrated a jubilee and the team marked it on a special way. `we are not food but surely appreciate this wonderful time at asp. thanks to the service team and the chef and his staff. make sure to give yourself a lot of time to enjoy everything the restaurant has to offer - our lunch was an incredibly pleasant 2.5 hours!
