Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI had the vegan dish made with jackfruit. 20 euros for a curry which didn’t even taste very good… and the waitress at the end didn’t give me the change and took it as a tip without me offering it.
The food is very tasty. Though it seems a little pricey, it‘s actually not because the portions are large. (We split the Jackfruit Masala for 19,90€ in two and were satisfied as if we had had a main dish each) It was very very tasty! (The first time I actually enjoyed eating jackfruit) The service was very nice. We‘re locals and ended up having a chat with the waiter. He told us that they are trying to expand on vegan options. Also, they use fresh jackfruit and marinate it themselves. The vegan and vegetarian options are clearly marked in the menu. No need for asking and insecurity.. The outdoor seating is very beautiful in the backyard. It‘s nice and calm. When going there be careful as there are two other Indian restaurants on the same street. As this one is in a backyard it‘s more difficult to spot.
This used to be my absolute favorite Indian spot in Leipzig. The first time I went was nine years ago as a first date with the woman I ended up marrying. I 've been back twice, once with my wife 's sister, the second time was today with my parents (visiting from the States). The wait staff was nice, but not entirely competent. They forgot two dishes. The first was an appetizer and we didn 't care enough to get about it. The second was a main dish so we definitely needed it. Then they forgot to bring silverware and we had to go to the bar to ask for it. Lastly when it came time to pay, we were told EC card was ok. Later, the owner (I assume) came to us and said that they ran out of paper, and we have to pay with cash. The excuse given was Easter holiday though having worked in the industry, it 's not hard to plan for holidays. The food was average, the Naan was thicker than we were accustomed to similar to flatbread. Mango lassi had green mango and was sweetened with what tasted like lichee. Also not for us. If you are alone, looking for decent Indian food, this might be the place for you. But if you 're arriving in a group, or have any dietary restrictions, the forgetful wait staff could prove lethal. Thank you to Mumbai for helping me build the relationship with my now wife, but it 's time we start seeing other people.
