I initially ordered the hot huh, but it wasn't spicy enough for my liking. I approached the cashier and asked if it was possible to add some seasoning to it. The staff member was very friendly and brought me a small container of spicy rub/oil to sprinkle on my food. It was incredibly delicious! I should mention that I love spicy food, so this really hit the spot for me. I also highly recommend trying the Mac n Cheese - it's rich and delicious. Don't miss out on this place!
I was finally able to visit this chicken restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. As I had anticipated, it was fantastic and the sides were delicious. My favorite dish is the big wings. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant.
Joella is never disappointed! we drive from danville, ky, so my man can enjoy the Fire-in-the-Hole sauce. my sohn is a jojo sauce fan. I am the wing chic with this amazing spiked honey sauce. joella’s hot chicken rocks!
If I could give it a little under stars I would. Good quality chicken. They have a decent bit of variety in terms of sides. In terms of spice and flavor it was lacking flavor but had heat. But if you didn't get the hot one it didn't have much flavor. Make sure you get hot if you're okay with a little heat. Pretty decent place but I think there are better places to get hot chicken.
First of all, I've eaten here about a month for the past year, and the food is consistently pretty good- the chicken is crispy and the breading is flavorful, and the sides are seasoned well. However, the Hot chicken was decently spicy when I first tried it, and now it's disappointingly mild. (I have gotten Fire in da Hole since, but I wish there were an option between mild and melt-your-face-off hot). And the crispy-thin fries used to be unique and excellent because of their thin cut and pepper, but recently they've been cut/flavor wise indistinguishable from McDonald's so I probably won't get them anymore. Good place, but not as great as it used to be.
