The Hill - London

Nice terrace, good sangria, lots of interesting Mediterranean and South American dishes on the menu. Was good value too. Great local spot.

This place was ideal for a romantic birthday dinner, small and intimate. The servers had great service and were attentive and helpful with wine selection. The food was tasty and unexpectedly flavorful! We had the prawn ceviche to share, Beef stroganoff (amazing! , Lamb curry and Tiramisu all delicious

On booking a few days in Greenwich we looked for a good independent restaurant. We had a fabulous lunch at The Hill, it was a sunny day and we ate in their beautiful garden. Staff were very attentive and so friendly. The menu had a good range of interesting fish and vegetarian dishes, the sea bass was especially good. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for dinner the next day which was equally delicious: this enabled us to try different dishes, especially recommend the prawn starter and calamari tapas. The restaurant was okay, but it didn't impress me. I have to be honest. The ambiance was nice when we were seated, but the tables seemed too small for the chairs. There was a man playing carols on the guitar, which was lovely.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at The Hill last night and it was absolutely perfect. The food and drinks were delicious, and everything else was fantastic. I highly recommend The Hill for couples, families, friends, and groups. We have been regulars for many years and every visit has always been wonderful.
