Lorne Fish and Chips

Lorne Fish and Chips served the best fish and chips that I have had for a long time. The fish was freshly cooked - chips were nicely done. They have tables and benches where you can sit and eat your meal. Also you can purchase reasonably priced beer or wine to have while waiting or with your meal. Staff were friendly.

Tomato sauce made from imported Italian tomatoes crushed by 15 virgins while singing opera. At least I think thats what it is cos it costs $2.70 for a small tub.$4.50 for a water.Are they mad.Nice chips and potato cakes but tje rest was **** amd very overprised.The big guy serving couldnt give a toss about anything.Dont go

My wife and I bought a piece of fish and some scallops from here. The fish was paper thin and the scallops were very small. While it tasted OK it was not good value for money.

Food here was just ok but was well over the odds. Fish wasn't what you'd expect from a seaside town. Also no eftpos!!!

A vast range of dishes left a bewildering choice of combinations. Settling on takeaway F&C we took them back to our balcony to enjoy with a bottle of Pinot Gris. The wine was much better than the fish & chips.
