Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI constantly arrive purchasing some food in this spot. I liked the fast customer service and well cooked food. Great work.
We got the premium sushi box, two orders of the fatty tuna nigiri, uni nigiri, one order of salmon skin roll, salmon ikura don, and edamame for two adults and a kid. Way too much food but we were able to enjoy some the next day. It was a splurge but we were celebrating a milestone anniversary and I did research around me that had the tastiest looking to go sushi that wasn’t incredibly expensive. Of course we would’ve preferred to do an in person omakase but since we were stuck at home this take out was the next best thing.
First I would like to welcome back the sunset sushi staff to the community, as a customer I was very pleased with their customer service. The quality of their food and the prices are very reasonable. Let's show them the same type of courtesy by ordering their delicious food. Support this restaurant it is very well deserved. To all the customers and potential customers, please be safe with this pandemic.
Name Sunset Sushi comes off as a regular, normal, American sushi spot and this name could not be any more misleading! Wife and I decided to check this place out the other day (without realizing it was Dine LA) because of the awesome pictures and reviews of Yelp Google.Wife ended up getting the premium sushi set 65) and I ended up getting the Dine LA Menu at $55 and it was absolutely fantastic! The quality of sushi was really good and it was very well made, very fresh.I like to think quite a bit of a sushi connoisseur and this is definitely on a very short list of great sushi places to try. We also had the Yuzu Margarita (w/ Mezcal, made spicy) and it was absolutely delicious. The only bad thing about it was that the premium nigiri sushi set came with live shrimp but we never got the fried shrimp head or shrimp head miso soup so i'm guessing people ate the head in the back but regardless, it was a great and wonderful experience. There is a very nice and cute little balcony in the back where we were able to wine and dine with our dog so that was an added cherry on top. The people here so all very so nice and pleasant. We'll definitely be back!
I arrived at the restaurant without a reservation and was one of the first two parties to be seated when they opened. However, I was disappointed when they forgot to give me ginger and wasabi with my sushi, leading to some confusion about whose responsibility it was. The uni, toro, and albacore sushi were delicious (I even ordered an additional serving of albacore), but the other premium sushi was just okay. They served me lukewarm green tea and charged $4 for each cup, without mentioning that refills were extra. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
