The Village Idiot - Los Angeles

Nobody at the Village Idiot was able to hold the table that I had made the reservation for. We waited for 40 minutes and ended up leaving to a different restaurant (at the recommendation of one of the servers). As people walked in, we heard another server talking about how this restaurant is going under and, with the terrible organization and customer service, I’m not surprised.

One of the best meals I've had in recent memory. A fitting end to a closing restaurant.

For the love of god do yourself and eat anywhere and I mean anywhere else besides this mediocre joke of an establishment. How is this place even still open?

Had a quick brunch here with a friend, both of us got sandwiches . She got the fish one and I got the breakfast one (doesn’t come with a side) but both were very good! Servers are also nice and take time in explaining/helping with substitutions.

Went on a Saturday night at 10:30 specifically because the kitchen is open until 1am. Scored two seats at the bar...not super busy, one table of 12 and a few other tables but not crazy. Bartender told us kitchens closed . On a Saturday... when we 've gotten food at midnight on a Tuesday here... great. Not cool. Bad business. It was my go to spot but I guess I can 't count on them being consistent.
