Hikariya Higashi - Matsumoto

One of the best, or should I say, the best French restaurant I still have to experience in Japan. I live in Tokyo, but I've only traveled here for this restaurant today. Every time the food here strengthens its position in my mind, it never once failed me. Not only the food that is excellent, the staff is also friendly and capable, the atmosphere is great. I celebrated my birthday here a few days ago, and the cake was amazing! (you can reserve it online) and I believe that this time they made themselves, not only the taste, but the food presentation were excellent. Two of them remind me of spring when I saw them. (I'll let you guess which two) I can't wait to visit again!

Beatutiful setting, totally welcoming people and imaginatively great food. Of the 800 photos, notice, there are very few the same. The chef is constantly renovating. Lunch was better than neat - it was a bargain for quality. The service was perfect and ended with a hand warmer in our coat pockets! First. Very recommended and worth a special trip.

Have a dinner French course here, and that was one of the best dinners I ever had! The place was old (they said it was a hundred years old! but very pretty, and the light was in the evening. The food was excellent. I can't eat pork and they can adapt it to me. Dish from court it looks small, but truly I was completely finished after the course! They taste very rich and delicious. And the price is reasonable! So if you go Matsumoto, better, reserve a place in this restaurant!

Love it. Food in the historic building, with perfect food and service. Must go again. Wine pairing is also good.
