There is a vegan heading for mains in the menu. Starters and breads you need to ask.
Went here in between comedy shows, as it's very convenient and I had heard they have a decent vegan section with fake meat. The decor was nice, and the service was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, that's about all I liked about this place. We ordered the pani puri, which was bland. There was no spice or tamarind flavour that I could detect. The buttr chickn was unforgiveably sweet, there was a noticeable coconut flavour at first taste. I didn't finish it and took some home, thinking the addition of chilli oil would cover the sweetness. It did not. The chikn pieces (soy based) were quite spongy in texture. They said the naan bread could be veganised (by not brushing it with butter/ghee afterwards), and it was fine, understandably slightly dry, but I was glad to have saved the calories, and the dryness didn't matter as I was dipping it in the buttr chikn. But it also meant I couldn't have a garlic naan. (The roti was already vegan, but I always prefer naan bread).
As with all Indian restaurants, huge selection of veg dishes. Staff aware of making almost all dishes vegan. Best Indian I've had in Melbourne! Updated from previous review on 2019-02-24
Not sure what has changed here, maybe the opening of a new restaurant in the city had dropped off regular staff and the chef. Very slow inattentive service, eating not as good as usual and the Nann bread was nothing as it is normally. This is our favorite place to hope that things like the new venture in the city we're going to be on the legs.
