Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI love the food and the staff at this restaurant. The waitress did a great job recommending the specials. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others!
decided to check this place by offering Zomato Gold. Absolutely loved! Service is fast and really good! The food was fantastic! I got the Char Kway Teow and it was the best I ever had! My friend who grew up in Singapore ordered the dry Bak Kut Teh and loved him! Tried both rice options and definitely recommend the coconut! We'll be back for more!!
We stopped by for a quick lunch before a movie and were impressed by the efficient service and unique flavors at this cozy city restaurant. It's not fancy or expensive. The lunch special featuring the signature Bak-kut-teh (pork bone tea) with pork slices was quite reasonably priced. They even offer free refills of broth. While the sides were just okay, the broth alone made the visit worthwhile. My partner enjoyed the Char Kuey Teow, which came with a delicious sambal that we found even better than the one with the Bak-kut-teh. We noticed that other tables had tasty looking grills, so we may have to come back and try those on our next visit.
Order of Bak Kut Teh and char koay teow. BKT is a must try, ribs was tender and so good with the garlic and cut chilis soy sauce. General part of noodles with shrimps and crispy pork carvings. Friendly staff and expected a more comfortable sitting option for my son and me.
Aunty Franklee, I don 't know where to start the review or how to review this place. I didn 't do proper research before going into the place as my buddy insisted that we get lunch almost immediately when we saw the restaurant. Bak Kut Teh is...a pork bone soup made of herbs and spices; a popular dish served in Malaysia and Singapore. Let that be a proper introduction before we get into a detailed review. Aunty Franklee is a small outlet located in the Russel Street of Melbourne CBD. The staff was amicable and patient enough to explain what a Bak Kut Teh is. I am not a soup person but, I have decided to choose the most recommended dish of this place, the Old Fashioned Bak Kut. Even though the menu says Much Loved Meat Bone Tea, there is no Tea involved in the dish. It 's just a fat creamy bone soup prepared by infusing 23 herbs (sounds healthy) and has port slices, meatballs, ribs, belly, tofu, mushroom, enoki. I have also ordered a cup of rice. About the dish, there is no wonder they say it is flavoursome as I could taste and smell every sort of spices and herbs. I couldn 't finish the whole soup as I was feeling quite full after taking half of it. Thanks to all bone marrow fat. I am glad that I have ordered rice as it helped me take a break from the constant taste of the soup. Aunty Franklee is one of the authentic places in CBD to have Bak Kut Teh. Since I haven 't tried it before there is no room any comparison. However, I could see the popularity of this place, and the way they serve the dish makes me think it is considered to be the authentic place to have this particular Malaysian dish. Until we meet again, keep up the good work guys.
