Kent Hotel - Melbourne

My wife and I went here with a regular couple for lunch.Parking nearby proved remarkably easy.Ambiance was nice and food choice extensive.All our meals were excellent and the service unobtrusive and efficient.Will go back

Very poor customer service, we have been sitting for 20 minutes before anyone realised that we are here. Totally ignored, we’ve been trying to catch up the waiters attention without any success even if they were that busy.

I picked the Kent for dinner on my birthday, because over several years, it has been reliable and good value. I love the outdoor area in warmer weather, and our experience this time was great service, prompt delivery, enjoyed the drinks, entree and main. We...both had fish and chips, which were just fine, and as expected, but the side salad was disappointing (after all, the rest is just fried fish and chips! . The salad comprised leaves straight from the big bag, 1.5 cherry tomatoes and a dousing of oil. Value? Probably about 5 cents. You can get better in just about any other country in the world. Come on ... lift your game!

There is a reason why the kent survived and that is because it is very good. we have eaten on Tuesday midday and there was a large number of people who have made the same decision to go to the kent. we were well maintained for. and gave a lot of time to order how we were busy chatting and eating with a selection of daily specialties was very good.

Finally had a post-covid pick up and this jewel. eating was delicious, venue packed. big personal, that knew what they did so, ran good and easy. I had the cavetelli pasta with the wagyu and pork, and it was delicious. a good size served served hot cake, with a lot of parmesan. the friend had the fish chips, grilled and was very happy. the chips with rosemary mayo were plentiful, hot and tasty, perfect for a cold day. only on the bottom was that noise, but I think the people are chosen to be outside and above. check their Kovid certificate for entry, much sanitiser available.
