Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis was my first time ordering from this restaurant.I had five separate orders.Gwen, the cashier, took all of my orders with a smile and a beautiful disposition!!!! She really did. I felt great leaving this restaurant.I say this because this restaurant was PACKED with people eating in, people in line to pick up orders and people placing orders. She HANDLED that with a smile.I loved my food.My breast was over cooked BUT edible. My co-workers stated her meat loaf was GOOD .Another coworker stated there was sugar in her black eyed peas. ???I don 't understand that because not everyone eats sugar. Nor do they want it in their food.My ONLY complaint is the peaches in the peach cobbler were cut into squares. (It wasn 't too sugary and could have used a little more butter). They looked like frozen carrots in a bag.It is called PEACH cobbler. So cutting those peaches like that took away the flavor of the cobbler. Not good(I know what I 'm talking about because My mama could COOK)!!!!!I won 't purchase it again. My personal taste.Overall, it was a positive experience. The peach cobbler . Too much dough and a COMPLETELY bad experience looking at square peaches.
The food was delicious as always. But on my last visit they only had one waitress and she was amazing. She was on point. Nothing got past her. On top of being attentive she wad nice and smiling. Made the entire meal that much better.
I placed a order for me and my husband, he got the chopped steak dinner, and I got the smothered pork chops dinner. I called in after placing my order to let them know I wanted the food cooked well, the woman told me they cook their food medium well so the meat will be pink, but stated she will do cooked well this time for me. I received the food and it was undercooked, thier was gravy inside the bag as if the food was not handled properly. I stopped going to the restaurant because of previous issues with my food, and said let me give Southern Hands another try. I was very disappointed with the service I received as well as the uncooked food. This place was one of my favorites when they first opened, just seems to me after the business took off the workers got lazy and rude. I feel like you should keep up the good work no matter how the company is doing to keep a good name for yourself. This is by far my last time ever getting food from them. I would advise any visitors coming to Memphis TN, to dine in and enjoy some soul food to save you self a trip as well as locals. They we're good previous years ago. But NOW it's sad to say the food is horrible. I don't normally do the review thing. But I made it my business to do so this time, just to inform others so they don't make the same mistake I did.
I love southern food being from the dirty south (Itta Bena). But this place really made me muddy south. I was just leaving service and had a very full week(end) which cause me not to have Sunday super ready. So I search for a place close to me and one that I had frequent before pandemic. I was so disappointed that I WANT be visiting again unless dining in. I order for a family of 4-6 people. I waited outside for the food to be prepared. When I was contacted via phone call then the same person used my number to text a friend (crossed up numbers) smh. When I entered to pay/get my order. I recited my order as she verified. Asked is everything there. When I get home, whe preparing plates I noticed things missing (pork chops, greens, and pie) ? hungry called them and was told to bring food back. WHAAATTT! Man wasn 't that disappointing but not worth going back. A lose for me. The food was delightful ? but PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDER B4 U LEAVE. Cost me $15
I was very impressed with the Staff, the Food, and environment especially the way they look out for their customers during this pandemic! Once you order your food they have you wait in your car for about 20 to 30 minutes, then you go back in, retrieve your food, then leave the establishment. This was a wonderful concept. The food is well worth the wait! I ate it so quick I wasn't able to send a pic, and if you've eaten at Southern Hands you know what I mean! I would definitely eat again.
