There's also a fireplace that I'm sure would be cozy in the winter months. Good tea selection. The restaurant area sennes cute & clean.
What this place lacks in atmosphere, makes up with very well prepared chinese food at reasonable prices. Too bad they do not have a liquor license. A cold beer would have been great with the spicy dishes we ordered. Would go again for sure!
Stopped in here quick on a recommendation and the soup did not disappoint! Also tried the bubble tea which was super refreshing! Only downside is it's a bit dark in there with little ventilation.
Located in historical Merrickville is the CHA Tea House. A small Mom & Pop bare bones dining established. A clean and tidy place with friendly service. We started off with the Wonton Soup which was very plain. No extra coutaments were on the table at all. Not even salt and pepper. The grilled vegetarian dumplings more than made up for the plain Jane soup. Others in the group had the Hot & Sour Wonton soup which had just the right amount of bite to make it an enjoyable meal. We would like to go back and try dinner. The tea house has a dozen or so tables but during the summer there is seating in front of the building as well as in the back patio. Parking in this town is always fun as it is a tourist magnet so allow for that when visiting especially during the summer months.
I was in Merrickville on a sales call and decided to give this place a try.The Lady that served me was really friendly and the food was outstanding!I had two dishes.Hot and Sour Noodles and Spicy Pork and Cabbage Stir Fry.The portions were good and the cost was fair. You should try this place. I enjoyed it!
