Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónNice atmosphere and pretty place, but a fair amount of gristle in the porterhouse, and food served quickly, before we got our cocktails. When we asked if they could withhold the food so we could have our cocktails first, they said of course but sounded put upon rather than apologetic.
I am also impressed by the level of service at any of Michael Schwartz's restaurants, but Cypress Tavern was especially attentive to my food restrictions during my last dining visit. The staff was very knowledgeable and the food was delicious. Add amazing cocktails and it was a perfect evening.
It's a shame it's closing. Planning at least one more outing before it closes
Excellent eating, good quality and fabulous drinks. I hate to see it close, but in had a fabulous last brunch there with a friend on Sunday. we shared the famous burger, the **** mary’s, the mimic and finally the delicious pot de cream. all good for the time and the money spent!
While the food was great we had a bad experience with the wait time. We made reservations for a particular time, we arrived mayber ten minutes early and was not properly greeted. The person at the front station simply overlooked our standing there. After about a ten minute wait he returned with a seemingly carefree approach. We were asked to sit outside where there is smoking horrible). The manager approached with a menu offering drinks, she left and returned nearly 25 minutes later with no drinks. We did not get seated until nearly 40 minutes AFTER our reservations. The food was really good but the lead up was horrible.
