We stopped for a cuppa and were happy with the friendly service. I will definitely visit again the next time I go to Coventry Markets.
Is it possible to give a no rating? If it is then I regret even giving it a single score! Mmmm where is there service???? I waited patently in front of there cake display so I could point to the items I was wanting to purchase. After min and after they had served others customers that had come after myself, I decide to ask a staff member as to why I was being ignored? The response was "you don 't get service unless I stand directly in front of the cash register area! Mmmmm really! then perhaps a sign around the food display area might benefit your potential customers and help your evident lack of them. Give it a miss!!
We used to love the coffee here so much that our daughter bought us gift vouchers. The coffee has recently changed from strong and flavourful to nothing but a coloured milky drink. I have in the past written a glowing review, but could not recommend for coffee any longer. Even when we ask for strong coffee all we get is brown milk. So disappointed!
We visited this cafe today after doing a quick walk around the Coventry Village markets looking for a nice place to have a coffee. We came across the Kaldi Cafe and were very delighted with the colourful, comfy chairs to relax in and the coffee was great. We enjoyed some delicious fruit toast with our coffees. They serve breakfasts, light lunches with rolls, quiches, sandwiches etc. There are a nice selection of cakes as well. The teas are organic which is a bonus. We will be back : I noticed that the local staff at the markets visit this cafe so it is popular.
I ordered there big breakfast meal and a chai latte. Everything was warm and in insipid, the toast was dry and hard even the eggs which were cooked to order were just warm. Would I go back again, hell no.
