Cafe de la Poste - Mornas

After our very mountain walk and descent from Forteresse de Mornas, we stopped at Café de la Poste for lunch. It was a wonderful autumn day to eat under the plane trees. When we knew we were for dinner, we chose the “salade fermière”. It was great and just the right amount to tid us over the evening meal. It is still our pleasure to give these people our business.

What a great lunch! The service was great and very friendly. The food was delicious (half a pizza and salad pork liquor, salad and chips) with bread, wine and water as well as ice cream for dessert for excellent €30. Why we haven't eaten there before I'm out, but next year we'll be back on our holidays. I encourage you not to miss this joy.

It was hot as can be. And we found Cafe de la Poste in this lovely city of Mornas. Good break from driving and cold beer and Pastis are refreshing with local service and Provance ambient. Place to be when you need to cool off. Bon Vojage...

Our hotel dining room was closed on a Monday, but we ate at the Cafe de la Poste and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cafe brought out red spotted cloths and provided an excellent meal of lamb cutlets, fries (cooked in a fryer outside) and salad, Then local cheese, followed by tiramisu for one of us. We had the local wine and then coffee. Great atmosphere. The man serving us was thoughtful and helpful and I am looking forward to going there again to sit under the trees and have a relaxing time..

Nous nous faisions une joie de manger au pied du célèbre château de Mornas (tout en bas), à la terrasse du café. Il a fallu qu'on "help" le patron, je suppose, qui sans aucun sourire nous a dit "j'arrive...". On a commandé un apéritif puis on s'est décidé à manger et là il nous dit "mais vous ne me l'aviez pas dit au départ", sur un ton !!! Heureusement c'est Mme qui est venue prendre notre commande, avec le sourire et en s'excusant mais lorsque nous lui avons dit que nous voulions une salade "melon/jambon fumé"... plus de melon ! Bref, la prochaine fois j'essaierai un autre endroit.
