The Fort - Morrison

I 'd give The Fort a 3.75 if I could. We had a small wedding ceremony there. The service was absolutely incredible. The event coordinator, Shirley Hill, is on top of it. She is organized, responsive, and efficient. She made sure that every detail I asked for was done. The food service was also impeccable. Our waiter, Jeff, was incredible. He was detail-oriented, interacted well with guests, present (without bombarding us), and informative. Also, the way Shirley and Jeff teamed together to bring our ceremony inside after a rainstorm was amazing. They really hustled. My issue with The Fort is that the venue isn 't as aesthetically pleasing as I expected. It 's quirky and historical, which I appreciated. I just had higher expectations based on what I heard. Last, the food was a disappointment to me and guests. Some of the apps were great (especially the empanadas). But the actual entrees lacked flavor, which surprised me since I 've heard so many positives. The buffalo also had a tough texture (guests commented on this as well). Due to the food, I don 't think I 'd return again. If I did, maybe I 'd order something safer. TLDR: amazing employees, great service, food was disappointing to me and guests

My partner and I go here every few months. The food, service, ambiance, and views are always top notch. We highly recommend! Ruth was our waitress most recently by the way. She did a wonderful job! Very attentive and personable. Parking: There's a large paved parking lot, and a huge gravel lot adjacent to it. We never have any issues finding a wide spot.

One of the best experiences in Colorado! The food is amazing, from the salad to the dessert! The staff is always so kind and helpful when deciding what to order. Always a great time eating dinner at The Fort!

Had dinner here before a Red Rocks concert. Great place to go for wild game. The food was phenomenal along with fantastic service!
