When we received our shrimp, I tried to peel them an hour later, and they were all stuck to the shells, slimy, and had an unpleasant odor. It was clear that we were sold old shrimp. I recommend going to Mt. Pleasant Seafood instead; we visited there a couple of days prior, and the shrimp were exceptional. Don't waste your time or money here. Both places charge around $14 per pound for shrimp, but Mt. Pleasant Seafood offers much better quality.
Consistently excellent! Let's support our local shrimpers. The shrimp are large, headless, and absolutely fresh and delicious.
This quaint spot offers a limited but impressive selection of fresh fish right by the water’s edge at Shem Creek. It might be a bit tricky to locate, but the experience is enjoyable as you wait for your fish. You’ll have some entertaining company in the form of pelicans hanging around, hoping for a few scraps!
The service was prompt and friendly, and the fresh shrimp we brought home was the best we've ever had! We transformed it into a delicious meal.
This fresh seafood restaurant is featured in the Netflix series "Outer Banks," and it's owned by the character Pope's parents. An employee named Doris, who is part of the Geechee seafood team, kindly invited us to stroll along the boardwalk behind the restaurant and take pictures of the boats. A big thank you to Doris! My 17-year-old daughter declared this her favorite spot on our tour of "Outer Banks" filming locations, and if they had sold t-shirts, we definitely would have bought two!
