Riverside Ice Cream Parlour

I recently had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, enjoying a jacket potato and cake. The food was delicious! I am looking forward to trying their ice cream once the weather warms up. This place is a hidden gem.

Visited here as the lockdown of COVID-19 began to ease, still only service via the kiosk but well worth it. First coffee out in months and it did not disappoint, rich and smooth. Also treated myself to an ice cream, toffee fudge also full of natural flavour. Excellent find and well worth a visit.

Today, I took my 83-year-old mother to Riverside Parlour in Newark at 3pm. After finding that most places we visited did not have any takeout sandwiches or the ones available looked stale, we were delighted to discover this hidden gem. We ordered a tomato, bread, and cheese salad sandwich, which, despite its simplicity, was described by my mother as the freshest and best-tasting sandwich she had had in a long time. The bread and salad were fresh, the filling was generous, and the two lovely ladies serving us made our experience even better. In addition to a great selection of bread, they also offer toasties and jacket potatoes. The location, which is close to the park and river overlooked by the castle, adds to the charm of this place. We will definitely be returning, as our first visit was outstanding. I highly recommend Riverside Parlour for a delicious and fresh sandwich experience.

Love this place, visited many time as their vegetarian breakfast is one of the best around. Very quick and lovely friendly staff, nothing too much trouble for them! The added bonus of the outdoor play area. Only down side is your not able to take dogs on the outside area.

I thoroughly enjoyed having a spot of lunch here. They had a good selection of sandwiches and cake. I had a cream cheese, pepper and rocket sandwich in tomato bread it was very well presented and super tasty. The ice cream was also very yummy and the owner, Carol, is a friendly, welcoming lady. Would definitely recommend this place.
