Buffet dinner wasn't bad, what I expected, the meatballs and sweet potatoes were fabulous, skip the cod, salad could be expanded at minimal cost. Then the play, we were all laughing, the actors did a phenomenal job. Back to the tables for coffee/tea/dessert. Come on people, a little bigger slice of cake please. The cabaret show was the best, loved every minute. There is so much talent in this group, I know I'll see some of the young people on Broadway someday. A real jem of a time.
The actors really seem to be enjoying themselves. It was a wonderful afternoon with lunch and a show, then a Cabaret Show during dessert. The food was plentiful, and delicious. I've been twice and would definitely go again. The cost is quite reasonable.
We go there every year for the lobster fest, which is nothing less than fantastic. Not just the lobster, but everything on the buffet tables are cooked to perfection. The lobsters are usually prepared better then most seafood restaurants we've been to. Now for the entertainment. These multi talented performers are truly a credit to the arts. And that said, any of them are very approachable, and actually greet you on the way out. You can tell they go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Bottom line is, it's in a class by itself.
In October 2021 I booked 4 tickets to a cabaret, but they cancelled it due to flood damage, and to date will not respond to my request for a refund. I've called several times and sent several emails, but have had no response. Very disappointed in their lack of customer service.
The Newport Playhouse is offering great take out food through their Sauced division. The Beef Wellington was outstanding. Also offering great wings and more.
