Well, I got to visit my second Saint Germain Bakery location. This one is on the lower level of the Cadillac Fairview Mall.If your eyes are the keys to your stomach, then get yourself down here to feast on the eye popping cakes and pastries on display. The ingredients look fresh and natural, especially anything that has fruits added to it!Products available include regular cakes breads, Chinese pastries, moon cakes, special occasion cakes for weddings other celebrations, etc.I'm here to try the Chinese pastries, just because I'm a self anointed expert!Staff are helpful to answer any questions and checkout was smooth.
I hate how the scent of these buns have taken over the entire wing of the mall. Every time I walk through the doors, I end up at the bakery! I guess it's not the worst problem to have. : I've tried a few of their buns and pastries, and they are always fresh, and sometimes even warm! The Germain bun is probably one of my favorites; it's not too sweet, and a perfect afternoon treat with tea. The pastries are good but I think I would recommend the buns over the pastries. The savoury items are also an excellent treat, with generous filling and great flavours.
This place has variety of freshly baked bread, cupcakes, croissant, tarts, biscuits and many more. Visited it recently and completely loved the spread. Also as tasty as it looks it definitely servers fresh bakery products. I have tried their butter biscuits and chicken bun a big thumbs up. Recommended when at CF Fairview mall
A contemporary, sanitary revision of the popular bakery concept of allowing customers to choose from a variety of buns, which are now individually wrapped. Good selection in a tidy store. One thing that could make it easier on the cashiers and customers is to give every bun the same price or offer a simple 6 for 12 deal since they are each all around the 2 price range anyway. This would keep the line moving more quickly and would result in more sales in the long run! ... I really don't know how they remember what and how much each bun is!
