Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWine and atmosphere very nice. Extremely understated. A person for a busy Friday afternoon. As soon as we got our wine flight, we were quite ignored.
Both my friend and I had a very bad impression of this winery. Their basic tasting was three wines for $18 most local shops calculate the same price for four or five and only one of the three was pleasant. The table service was brusque and impatient (our server seemed more intent to chat her friend at the bar), making the experience even worse. The last nail in the coffin was that AUTOMATICALLY added a 20% tip on our individual invoices. Who does this for a party of two???? I won't recommend this place.
I think this place is just okay, or maybe my expectations were much higher to go to the winery. When I was looking for things to do in Ojai, this was one of the recommendations, but that's just good to me. The service was great and very friendly. However, it was not very clean as I hoped (at least my table). It seems to be doing the weekend in the late afternoon, so a reservation could help if you are a big party. The wine, personally was just okay, I wasn't impressed. I would say the selection and order for tasting was nice. But the wine itself was not about the quality I hoped. Probably not return as someone who really enjoys wine, but the atmosphere is nice to have a seat and Chit chat with a few friends.
We held my son's wedding dinner at the Ojai Vineyard Tasting Room on 2/17/23 and it was a TREMENDOUS success! The room was nicely decorated, the wine was GREAT and the whole ambience of the room made the night for everyone who visited. Mikaela Arenal, with whom I worked closely to coordinate the event, was a total pleasure to work with and make sure everything came without a hitch. As I live on the other side of the country, planning the evening had some logistical problems that Mikaela treated with ease. Needless to say, I would recommend HIGHLY this event and Mikaela to anyone who hosts a beautiful event in Ojai!
As a big fan of Central Coast Syrah I've wanted to visit the Ojai Vineyard for quite awhile. The journey is much more difficult then say simply driving to Santa Barbara and having many tasting rooms in one vicinity. I'm happy to say the drive was worth it . After trying a number of wines and chatting up the staff I was offered a 3 ring binder of the very extensive list of library wines available for purchase. One could easily spend hours searching the wines of the catalog, researching and trying to find something very unique and interesting . There's so much more to Ojai then just simply trying current releases. They were pouring a couple 2010s that day and I also really enjoyed trying their late harvest Riesling.
