Our waitress was attentive, personable and kind. We shared a half pound of the peel and eat shrimp Wojcik came with butter and cocktail sauce yum! Huge shrimp and spiced perfectly. Our drinks were tasty and hit the spot. Would definitely dine or relax here again. So nice to sit in the open air and enjoy the breeze and tiki bar vibes.
Since we did not check to see what restaurants were open during Easter weekend, we were glad to find this one opened. They were open on the deck only and will let you in as there was availability, since they were running with little staff. The deck has a gorgeous view of the ocean across the street and you are covered from the hot sun. There was a nice breeze, so it was very enjoyable. Service was good and fast. Food could had been a bit better and with bigger side portions but overall not bad. Drinks were good abd a good size. We ordered the wasabi ahi tuna, the fish and chips, the shrimp basket, the Greek Village salad with gyro meat (note it does not include romaine, fyi), the white sangria, the red sangria, the watermelon rita and one of the buckets. We realized that they charge a credit card surcharge, which would be nice to know before you sit down to eat. We did not mind, since we were there and just wanted to eat and enjoy the view. We will consider the restaurant if we are in the area.
Dimitri has sold this business and now it is called Blues and Brews Bistro. It is still very good. Awesome music.
We go to Daytona Beach every year for Biketoberfest sometimes we visit in spring or summer too. We definitely have our favorite spots; but we are always looking to try new places as well. A friend told us about Dimitri 's, just up the road in Ormond Beach, and when we heard best view of the beach live music we were sold! Dimitris is 3 stories of dining drinking. The top floor is open air, (I guess it 's the rooftop, with a large bar in the center mostly picnic tables for seating. The vibe is beachy casual. There is a park across the street so you can see straight into the ocean when it 's light out, and at night you have a great city view! We were approached by a hostess immediately seated at a large picnic table overlooking the north. The menu has just about everything you can think of: salads, sandwiches, seafood, entrees, and even pizza. There is definitely a Greek theme, (gyros, spanikopita, etc. . I had the Greek-seasoned chicken breast with a double side of veggies. The chicken was delish the veggies, mostly squash onions, were good as well. It definitely filled me up! My husband had the shrimp scallops combo. He said the shrimp was good, but the scallops were just so-so. He also paid extra to have a side salad as one of his sides, and it was the tiniest side salad ever. There is a full liquor bar they have an ample beer seltzer selection too. Not only was there live music upstairs, there was a band getting ready to play downstairs when the performer upstairs finished. I loved my meal my husband liked 1/2 of his...but whether you cone here to eat or just drink, Dimitri 's is a cool, one-of-a-kind place to relax and hang out in Daytona/Ormond Beach!
One of my favorite places by the beach. I love the rooftop views. I usually get the original or chicken gyro with feta fries. The gyros are always stuffed and fresh. The feta fries are out of this world- I could just get those! They have everything from beer to fruity tropical drinks. My favorite was the Sailor Rum Punch.
