Unfortunately the Bagel used to make the sandwich was not toasted or heated, the eggs tasted as if they came for a box and the cheese was the lowest grade possible. Oh, did I mention they charged me $2.50 for a slice of ham? Well, all was good as I didn’t have big expectations for a the sandwich, however the coffee is also terrible. Burnt burnt burnt! Very dissaoointed.
Worst service. Was constantly intimidated by employee even though I wen there on duly basis. I had to stop going. The owner or manager with glass is nice but the other guy back there was threatening. This was years ago.
Trying out the House of Bagels at Palo Alto. Let's see how they taste. We got all in one, sesame and jalapeno bagels with jalapeno, chive and vegetable cream cheese and sprouts and red onions.
Every time I bite into a bagel sandwich from House of Bagels, I have to close my eyes. It's that damn good. Not to mention the customer service is what you'd expect but don't really get to experience anymore: a warm welcome, fast and effect service and a comfortable and casual atmosphere where you can be a first-time customer but treated like a regular. The owner, Steve, is a great guy through and through. Blessed with the gift of gab, he'll also educate you about their process of boiling the bagels instead of baking them and he's been in the business long enough that he knows what it takes to make customers happy and keep them coming back.
Everyone was welcoming and patient while I took in all the possibilities of bagels. Their bagels are perfect and their strawberry cream cheese was to die for. A must stop for breakfast/lunch.
