Although there was a language barrier, everyone was very welcoming. This is a hangout for the locals. The staff is friendly and they make a real attempt to get to know you. The drinks were cheap and are made exactly right. I'd definitely go back.
3 of us ate here. One of us ordered off menu with no problems whatsoever. Have lunch here on Thursday when the market is going. Very entertaining. I ate calves liver with mash and gravy, pate starter and creme caramel. All for under 20€! When...I returned a glass of wine as it tasted dodgy the waiter arrived with a new bottle, opened it and gave me a new glass, apologising in the process for the original glass. A solid and reliable place.
Maybe it was the jet lag, but really didn't enjoy this place. Stopped in for a bite and felt ill. Dirty and not organized. If you want a wine, ok. Not for food.
Here 's a traditional, little corner brasserie that is ideal for casual dining at a reasonable price. This was neighborhood restaurant that catered to locals and that suited us just fine. Nothing fancy,: just good food and good service at a modest price. A bottle of...an inexpensive Merlot from Southern Burgundy started us off on the right foot. Fran delighted in a cheese omelet while I selected a medium rare filet Mignon (although not the name cut as you might get at an up scale restaurant it was still delicious). Son Chris selected a pork medley that was perfectly seasoned and resulted in a thumbs up from him. We 'd been bad earlier in the day so we decided to take a pass on deserts..but the desert trolly looked great.
