Shingane - Paris

Despite the language barrier (our French is limited, also its English) we received a very friendly service. not an expert in Korean food, but the dishes were great. Finally, the cram many people in the restaurant, which too limited inn place.

We tried this place by chance when we had a drink close. eating is definitely worth a visit! the Korean bbq was amazing and the venue is charming.

There it was very close to our hotel and because of the ratimg here. charming decor and eating was simply delish.

First time i was taken here by my husband for my birthday as it was not far from where we live and I am known for my passion for Korea. Oh, it was the best present ever! (aside from presents Since then we have been...here uncountable amount of times.. And even though we don't live in paris anymore, every time we visit we come come come!!! (we even chose an apartment to rent within walking distance to this restaurant and one favourite boulangerie of ours . Amazing food, very friendly waitresses, really great ambiance! Amazing entrees: raviolis, kimbap, kimchi, tofu! yum yum!! wonderful barbecue (we chose both beef and a mix plate !... Last time we were there we also tried coconut ice cream! wonderful surprise! really delicious and served in a coconut shell! Another lovely desert Duo Chocolat Thé Vert. Id also recommend as mains: Bibimbap au bœuf and Marmite à la viand de boeuf : I would suggest to take a menu (if you are two one should choose ravioli and the other the kimbap as starter and share! followed by beef bbq ... you will not regret : Also highly recommended korean alcohol soju and bokbunja! In other words gogogogo! for lunch and dinner!

We were in the mood for Korean BBQ but didn 't have high expectations of finding a decent place in Paris. We were wrong! We saw the wonderful reviews on TA and hopped on the metro. Fortunately, Shingane was just a few blocks from the nearest...train stop. When we arrived the place was packed it was 10pm on a Saturday night. We were seated quickly and were handed our menus which were really cool iPads with digital menus that was very easy to navigate. We quickly ordered the beef tartare which was phenomenal and some chicken dumplings which were excellent as well. As we normally do at Korean BBQ places, we ordered the BBQ Beef and pork belly and waited anxiously after devouring our appetizers. The wait was over and the food arrived. The grill in the table was one of the more efficient and simple implementations we 've seen in any Korean BBQ place we 've visited and we 've been to many. The first bite of the beef made me do a double take yes it was that good. The marinade and the texture of the beef combined to make it the best I 've had anywhere since I 've started eating Korean BBQ 20 years ago. The pork belly and accompanying sauces were equally delicious. I can 't say enough about this place. If we lived in Paris we 'd easily be here once a week. Enjoy!
