Daphne's - Paynes Bay Beach

Overrated. the drinks were terrible, the food was good, the service was unratish, the sight was good. overall the experience was good at half price, but not worth what I paid.

Date night at Daphne’s last night and food was nothing short of incredible. We did 3 courses each (appetizers, pasta, and entree) and every bite was better than the last. We started with the piri piri shrimp and octopus. I order octopus a lot and this was one of the best. Great mix of salty, acidic and sweet flavors. Shrimp were delicious with a spicy kick! Then we each had a half portion of pasta. I LOVE when places offer half portions of pasta dishes so you can indulge without getting too full for an entree. The Duck Pappardelle was phenomenal. I cleaned the plate. We finished with the steak and speck wrapped pork tenderloin. Both had amazing flavor and were cooked perfectly. I didn’t think the appetizer and pasta could be beat but I think the tenderloin was my favorite bite of the meal and a perfect way to finish (and maybe the very best dish I experienced ANYWHERE in Barbados). Setting/ambiance were incredible!

Good not big, fish was overcooked, but main vegetarian was excellent

Eating was very good, but the service was unattended and unprofessional. note that if they do not stay in the resort, they will not get one of the better tables. the parking space is small and cloged. there are much better restaurants in the immediate environment including fusion dach and nishi.
