Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe reviewed this restaurant a year ago and can confirm the food is still very good,we had a few breakfasts, lunch, dinners here with no complaints, this restaurant is a better place to eat that the hot markets near by but tourist are like sheep when it comes to markets and follow the herd, the great value American breakfast is 75b but note it does go up to 90 b at 2pm this is not pointed out on the outside blackboard.the wine is fine and costs 90 b, we never found cheaper wine in the two months we were in Thailand.
Southern Fried Rice might be a funny name for a guesthouse/restaurant, but who cares. The Kata Night Market is close by and many foreigners prefer to eat there on plastic chairs from plastic trays in a bad air of barbequed meat and fish. Buy they don't know what they miss. The food at Southern Fried Rice is delicious, fresh and reasonably priced, say even cheap compared to the nightmarket. Do try the Norwegian meatballs with cranberry sauce, or the crab balls as appetizer with a beer. And do taste the seafood they have on special days. Yummi. For 75 baht you get a hearty American breakfast with good, strong coffee. The Norwegian owner is a friendly man who loves to talk to his customers. Highly recommended.
This is a small restaurant and guest house. The menu selection is wide, taste is good for the price. If you are looking for a reasonable option for lunch, this is a good one. The best thing is their all day breakfast. Fresh coffee, eggs your choice, fruit or juice, bacon and toast with jam/butter. A great deal for only 75 baht.
Good and tasty food, good prices, nice people, love the green curry! Place is next to the night market, preferred to eat there becouse of the bigger variety of food, on the night market most of the food is fright and a lot of meat, for me as a vegan was the place great!!
Located next to Kata Night Marked this norweigian owned restaurant offers good food to reasonable prizes in a quiet environment. We visited it several times and the food was everytime delicious and fresh. And when my husband asked for a dish that wasn't on the menu, the cook made it for him anyway. Absolutely worth a visit.
