We had a great time eating there, not only was the food really good, the owner kept us entertained throughout the meals as well. We recommend this place 100
We looked on tripadvisor for a lunch spot on our way to Umbria from Amalfi. Having decided on Antica Osteria we struggled to find it and had to get out and walk the streets if the village. On entering we were met by a man who turned out to be Giorgio. It was late on a Sunday lunchtime but he still invited us in. With no shared language to speak of he managed to tell us there was no menu and that he would bring food for us to eat. Course after course of delicious food arrived, along with a carafe of his own home made wine. After the extended meal we asked our welcoming , friendly host to take away a litre if his wine for later. The meal was amazing and the extra wine was offered as a gift. Do not pass up the opportunity to enjoy great home cooking in a unique place. We even go to meet the chef, his lovely wife. Thank you for one if the best experiences and fun of our trip to Italy. We went with my family on a Saturday afternoon to this lovely little restaurant. It's within half an hour drive from where we live and we like to explore different restaurant around us. We are glad we found this place. Giorgio is a very warm and welcoming owner/chef and has a passion for his food. All well prepared, locally sourced and fresh. Nice local wine as well. We will definitely come back. You will have to call to make a reservation before you are planning to come by. Enjoy!
