The seafood gumbo, the chicken and sausage gumbo, the roasted shrimp, cheesecake, red velvet cake, coconut cake, biscuits... even the corn cake is DELICIOUS! My family can't get enough! Staff are so friendly that you feel like family... It's like sitting at Big Mama's table on Sunday! WONDERFUL!
Great food, great service! Gumbo House organized an event for my church Ruach Outreach Ministries and they have assigned their own with excellent service! The food was also very delicious. I definitely recommend trying them out, you will not be disappointed!
The staff is amazing, food is always fresh delicious, food is a very relaxing experience. I love the Gumbo house. No other soul food spot in Plainfield compares it!

Great place and food, staff were very attentive when I called in and my nephew had no idea what he wanted, but he goes to public school so imma let him slide
