Arthur House - Platteville

Great place for family and friends to get together for dinner and or drinks. We ordered an appetizer that the waitress ended up telling us they were out of so she told us to pick something else out and gave it to us for free. Food and salad bar were both Great!

The Arthur house is your typical Wisconsin Supper Club. It's been around for many many years. The salad bar is standard and the fish is amazing. Periodically they have seafood buffets that are really good and offer options for people that don't like seafood. If you like comedy shows, they have several they're in the back room. There is space here to also have special events like wedding receptions, anniversaries, or large birthday parties, honestly, I'm sad that they updatedthe bathrooms. I loved the vintage appeal. As a side note, there is almost no cell service in the building if you're on u.s. cellular.

Wait staff was friendly and very good. We had the Friday night fish. It had good flavor, adequate portions. The only problem was consistency. Some pieces were larger than others so the cook on the fish was wrong. The thicker pieces were perfect, but the thinner ones were way overdone and chewy. Salad bar was good.

You'll love it! Mixed Use Bar, restaurant and conference room. The food is ALWAYS... and the owner is a boss! There have also been comedy shows on Friday night for over 18 years! The Arthur’s House is a foundation for the career of many comedians! Look at the headpieces on the wall above the bar. Bill and Deb did an excellent job.
