Brisket sandwich and the Mac and cheese with brisket were fantastic I will definitely be back for more!
Good ribs and you have to get there early or sell them. Small place on the street side.
My wife and I took a southern sojourn from our St. Paul home last week to compare Dixieland BBQ against what I 've been turning out on my Primo XL over the last decade or so. No plan, just asked locals to point us to the best Q in town, then went there. I was holding up pretty well against the competition until we caught a whiff of heaven north of KC followed our nose to Ray Rae 's which changed the game. Ribs had the pop I look for at first bite, then tender inside. Burnt ends, juicy and flavorful... and the turkey! Sliced thin and somehow still moist with a big flavor profile. Hands down on this... Turkey and burnt ends are best I 've ever had. Squeeze a burnt end cube and you 're likely to make a moisture drop. And they put burnt ends in the beans so don 't miss that. Friendly and family run. Clean but compact. I was feeling pretty good about how my meats were stacking up against what the south had to offer until I got to Ray Rae 's, which left me with only three words to say... I 'm not worthy...
