Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThai Orchid Restaurant is just okay. It doesn't seem to get that busy. That may be because it's just kind of okay. It's nothing to get all excited about. They have some good healthy options. I had the pad Thai with tofu. It was about $8 for the lunch portion. The tofu was kind of undercooked. It was a bit too squishy for my liking. The meal also seemed to be mostly the rice and tofu. It didn't have much of the advertised peppers. The service is pretty quick. I would choose another place instead of Thai Orchid if it's more convenient. It seems to be average so it's not good enough to make a trip for. The food is good enough if you're around there.
Fantastic food but the first time I them I learned they were closing in 7 days. I really wish I knew about them years earlier!
My go to Asian food when I'm back in Columbus and have been going for 20+ years. Can never go wrong with pad Thai, but my favorite dish is the phad prik king (seriously spicy).
The Shu Mai came out quickly enough but damn, there was pork in it (I didn 't see that in the menu description). So I told the waitress that I don 't eat pork and she quickly apologized and took it off the bill. She gets points for that one. Shortly thereafter, the Phad Thai came out and when that aroma hit my nose I knew it was going to be good...real good. The noodles were cooked perfectly with plenty of chopped peanuts, bean sprouts, scallions and several large butterflied shrimp. We 're talking all around excellence in flavor with a good presentation. I 'm also pleased to say that I specified Thai spicy and it came out just like I wanted it. No dumbing down like so many other places do. This is definitely one of the better Phad Thai 's I 've had in Columbus Ohio. It 's $12.95 for a good sized, flavorful dinner portion. Prices are about what I would expect for the portion, quality and type of restaurant. The fabric palm trees scattered about are kinda tacky but other than that, the restaurant is tastefully decorated. The white tablecloths with sheets of white paper over them give this restaurant an upscale but casual feel. You would not be embarrassed to bring a date here. If you are looking for some very good Phad Thai and you 're in the Powell area on Sawmill....this restaurant is definitely worth your time and money. Tip 1: They have 1/2 off bottles of wine on Monday nights with purchase of two entrees through the summer months. Tip 2: Be aware that they close between lunch and dinner.
By far the BEST Thai Food in central Ohio. It is managed well and the staff are welcoming. It is family owned and you can tell from the moment you walk in. The food is dynamite. The menu is large. There are many vegetarian options as well. Prices are pretty modest for the quality, atmosphere, and attentiveness by staff. They also have live piano playing, and perfect ambiance. Highly recommend!
