This is not the blaze I know from Hope st or even when they moved by the Met. I will not be returning. Yikes hair in the food, chicken chicken so it should be cooked a certain way) RED inside. Rice blah, plantains soggy?! Definitely wasn't a hit. They need to bring back someone who knows how to cook Looking on their social media it looks like something happened with ownership and the chef. I'd go to wherever that chef moves to and NOT this location
This is a gem! Food is excellent, atmosphere is laid back and the server was awesome! Will definitely be coming back soon. So many choices but for appetizers the crabcakes are amazing as well as the lobster mac and cheese. Teriyaki Salmon and Shrimp scampi for the main course was excellent...?
My wife and I went to brunch at Blaze Smith Hill on 11/28/21. We absolutely loved our experience. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was intimate, and the food was fabulous. My wife ordered the Blue crab eggs benedict and I built my own omelet. The food was served promptly and there was plenty of it, particularly the Blue crab benedict. It was so good. We plan to come back for dinner and brunch in the future. It is a great addition to the restaurant scene in Elmhurst/Smith Hill and a needed addition to our community. Go support it. You will not be disappointed.
