Banana Leaf - Puducherry

I ordered kerala paratha, chicken fried rice and butter chicken masala for dinner . But they gave Butter paneer masala instead of chicken . What's wrong with you guys ? However till Butter Paneer was worst is taste . Fully sweet in taste . Not a authentic butter paneer masala from any angle. But the paneer pieces were good in size . The fried rice was average in taste . The kerala parathas were only the good thing in this order. Big and tasty .

We visited this restaurant for our lunch while travelling from Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry. Place was congested to sit on both the floors and we preferred first floor as it was a bit better than ground floor. Food was ok, nothing very special however not close to authentic north Indian as they have mentioned however as per price point it was not bad. Would might not visit this restaurant for my dinner.

The entrance is a bit congested, situated in roadside. Quite popular in the area. Have wide menu items. Tandoori chicken is good. They also have good dessert menu. And the desserts are quite good. They provided real fresh fruits and nuts in plenty for fruit and nut icecream.

The most reliable Place in the neighbourhood of Pondicherry university in terms of taste and ambience ..price is little more than the nearby places but it is worth it! The must try dishes are , Biryani, Al Fahm chicken, Barbeque Chicken , The Chicken Starters, Shawrma, Rolls, and in dessert they have all kinds and ranges of icecreams and sundaes! You can order and enjoy at home too!

Nice ambience with full of Malyali people as we know they are good in hospitality so the same you ll be experiencing there. Little costly in comparison to other restaurants near by but they deserve it.
